Scott’s pharmacy was the first pharmacy in Macon to offer compliance packaging, and for years their adherence packaging program was done manually.  “For years, we used a manual compliance packaging system which was very labor intensive. There was no way we could grow and scale that part of our business without automating,” says Dr. Bryan Scott, owner and pharmacist at Scott’s Pharmacy.

According to Dr. Scott, “Our compliance packaging is what makes us different.” It gives them opportunities to expand their business by providing medications and consultant pharmacy services to assisted living, group homes, and long-term care facilities.

“We knew we wanted to grow the adherence part of the business because as CMS mandates that companies pay for med-from-home services, you want to be able to reduce DIR fees and you need a solution that’s going to be easy to use so that you can press a button and go,” said Dr. Scott
