Pharmacy Times and Parata Systems Will Celebrate outstanding Pharmacy Professionals at the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego

The Next Generation Pharmacist™ 10th annual awards gala will be held on October 25

(CRANBURY, N.J. – April 9, 2019) – Pharmacy Times™, the leading media resource for pharmacists, in conjunction with Parata Systems will host the 2019 Next-Generation Pharmacist® Awards ceremony and gala on Friday, October 25, at the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego, California.

To honor the leadership and passion of the finalists, judges, sponsors and attendees, guests will be treated to an encore performance by comedian and renowned guitarist Mike Rayburn. Rayburn uses world-class guitar skills and comedy to inspire innovation and leadership.

The Next-Generation Pharmacist™ Awards program recognizes pioneers, innovators and future leaders in the pharmacy industry. Pharmacist nominations represent chain, independent and specialty pharmacies; government and academic institutions; long-term care facilities; and health-system pharmacists. Since 2010, the awards program has generated over 3,000 peer nominations across all 50 states and honored nearly 300 pharmacy leaders as finalists and winners.

The awards gala offers pharmacy professionals the opportunity to socialize and share their efforts in advancing the profession. When asked about the program, Amina Abubakar, 2018 Entrepreneur Winner remarked, “I was extremely honored to receive such a prestigious award, 2018 Entrepreneur of the year. The 2019 Next-Generation Pharmacist™ Awards program includes 10 categories. Nominations may be submitted through April 30, 2019. An independent panel of esteemed judges, chaired by Troy Trygstad, PharmD, Ph.D., MBA, editor-in-chief of Pharmacy Times™, will evaluate entries. Up to three finalists will be named in each category. These finalists will be featured in the September 2019 issue of Pharmacy Times™ and on https://www.nextgenpharmacist.com.
