Pharmacy Times™ and Parata Systems Seek Nominations for the 2020 Next-Generation Pharmacist™ Awards Program

This national awards program recognizes pharmacists, technicians, students and industry advocates who are defining the future of pharmacy

Pharmacy Times™, the leading media resource for pharmacists, in conjunction with Parata Systems, is now accepting nominations for the 11th annual Next-Generation Pharmacist™ awards program.

“We are so proud to team up with Parata Systems for the eleventh year to recognize top pharmacy professionals with the Next-Generation Pharmacist™ awards program,” said John Hydrusko, vice president of Pharmacy & Healthcare Communications. “We look forward to celebrating another group of exceptional individuals who have made a huge impact on patients and the pharmacy industry.”

The 2020 Next-Generation Pharmacist™ awards program is peer-nominated and honors 10 categories, including civic leader, entrepreneur, future pharmacist, lifetime leadership and technology innovator. Up to three finalists will be selected in each category and one winner will receive the top honor as the Next-Generation Pharmacist™.

“Once again, we’re excited to open nominations for this prestigious awards program,” said Mark Longley, executive vice president of Sales and Marketing at Parata Systems. “It’s inspiring to see the profession of pharmacy elevated through peer nominations and evaluation.”

Recipients will be honored at the eleventh annual awards gala, which will be held on Oct. 16, 2020, at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, Tennessee, coinciding with the National Community Pharmacists Association Annual Convention. Finalists will also be featured in the October 2020 issue of Pharmacy Times™ and on the program’s website, nextgenpharmacist.com.

Nominations will be accepted electronically until May 15, 2020. For complete category descriptions, eligibility requirements and an online nomination tool, visit nextgenpharmacist.com.
