If You Are in the Path of a Storm

We know you have a lot on your mind as you consider your safety and that of your family, team, and patients, as well as protecting your home and business. Here are some steps you can take to prepare your pharmacy.

  • Help patients find open pharmacies in areas impacted by disaster with Rx OpenIf you haven’t enrolled your pharmacy yet, you can email admin@healthcareready.org to get on the map.
  1. Back up data from your Parata software applications.
  2. Shut down all Parata software applications.
  3. Shut down all computers and workstations.
  4. Power down all your Parata automation.
  5. Protect against water damage.
    If you have computer workstations on the floor or low shelving, raise them. We also recommend using heavy plastic to wrap your Parata automation and any computers and workstations. Cover as much as you can to protect against water damage in the event of roof damage, leaks, or flooding.

Pharmacies have asked about running their Parata units on generators in case of a power outage. If you’re operating on generators, please keep these power draws in mind to make sure your generator can supply the appropriate amperage for your unit.

Parata PASS: up to 15A
Parata Max:
When powering on, Max draws up to 35A for about 1 second, then sustains at up to 20A.
