DJ joined Parata in 2003 as its very first finance employee and rose quickly in the company. He served as CFO from 2010 through 2014 and was named CEO in March 2015. DJ has accelerated Parata’s growth through the acquisition of multiple business units and by facilitating key partnerships and securing distribution channels. He also created our accounting, finance and management information systems teams as Parata grew from five to 500 employees in just over three years. As CEO, DJ aims to empower the team to provide brilliant solutions and to lead the company in running world-class operations while consistently delighting our customers. He holds a degree in accounting from North Carolina State University.

Mark has been with Parata since its early days and has been instrumental in steering the company’s course for long-term success. With more than 20 years of experience in automation technology and 10 years in the health care industry, Mark has partnered closely with pharmacies of all sizes — domestic and international — to improve safety and efficiency and enable sustainable business growth. He strives to develop a deep understanding of customers’ needs and advocates for the continuous innovation of solutions that address these challenges with a strong return on investment. Mark holds a bachelor of business administration from Miami University and an MBA from Northwestern University.

Marcus Kennedy

Marcus Kennedy

Vice President, Product Development

Marcus has been in the pharmacy automation industry for more than 15 years and has witnessed the evolution of pharmacists’ role and the technology that supports them. He joined Parata in 2006, when the company acquired assets of McKesson Corporation's Automated Prescription Systems business unit and has led numerous teams at Parata. An Army veteran, Marcus takes special pride in building the teams that serve Parata’s government and Department of Defense pharmacies. Overseeing product development, Marcus ensures Parata’s strong position within the changing industry and guides the development of meaningful solutions for our customers. He holds a degree in electronic engineering and an MBA with an emphasis on technology management.

Vice President, Finance & Operations

Parata was still in its start-up days when Graham joined in 2004. Graham has driven significant operational efficiencies and built a team that is counted on to make key decisions and drive financial results. Before joining Parata, he honed his technical skills and business acumen while working closely with a variety of businesses — including Parata — at a public accounting firm. Inspired by the way pharmacists use Parata technology to drive efficiencies and business growth and impact the lives of their patients, Graham shares his expertise with Parata customers through resources about the finances of a successful independent pharmacy. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a master’s degree in accounting from North Carolina State University.

Dan has been with Parata since 2004 and has played a critical role in architecting and optimizing the company’s high-performing field service and account management teams. With more than 25 years of technical service experience, Dan leads Parata’s service organization and customer success teams in delivering superior experiences with the belief that our customers always comes first. He blends this commitment to customer experience with technical aptitude and a focus on analytics to help Parata achieve world-class operations — maximizing efficiency, effectiveness and profitability for the company and our customers. Dan holds a degree in information technology.

With more than 20 years of experience in human resources at leading technology companies, Cathi leads Parata’s HR team. She joined Parata in 2007 as a consultant and quickly settled into a role as business partner, helping to recruit the right talent and establish key employee programs. Cathi listens carefully to the company’s business needs and partners with managers and leaders to create an environment that engages, motivates and empowers employees. With talented teams of employees that eagerly tackle challenges, it’s no wonder Parata is viewed as an industry leader. Cathi is SPHR certified and holds a degree in marketing.
